You will have an early breakfast before our guide picks you up at 6:30 AM and takes you to the Volcanoes National Park reception. You will be welcomed with a cup of coffee, and the park officials will then group you with other people for a briefing about the golden monkey group, you will visit. After the briefing, you will return to the car and drive from the park reception to the park entry, where the trek will begin.

After this incredible experience, you will return to the parking area, where our guide will then drive to Nyungwe national park, this drive will take up to 5 hours however on your way you will have a stop for lunch.

The guide will then take you to the hotel where you will spend the night and prepare for an early morning trek.

You will wake up early at 5:00 AM for the chimpanzee trek., you will leave the hotel with a packed breakfast. After a drive to the reception area, you will meet the guide, who will brief you on the trek. Guided by experienced rangers, trekkers embark on a journey through lush, dense forest to locate and observe wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Once you encounter the chimpanzee, you will spend a full hour with them in their natural habitat, the trek provides a unique opportunity to witness these intelligent primates’ behaviors and social interactions up close while playing and jumping from tree branches to another. The experience combines adventure with the chance to learn about conservation efforts and the ecological significance of Nyungwe’s primate population.

After the trek, the guide will drive you back to Kigali. The journey, which takes up to 6 hours, will include a stop for a lunch break. This drive marks the end of your 3-day primate trekking adventure.
