• Day two Chimpanzee trekking: You will wake up early at 5:00 AM for the chimpanzee trek., you will leave the hotel with a packed breakfast. After a drive to the reception area, you will meet the guide, who will brief you on the trek. Guided by experienced rangers, trekkers embark on a journey through lush, dense forest to locate and observe wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Once you encounter the chimpanzee, you will spend a full hour with them in their natural habitat, the trek provides a unique opportunity to witness these intelligent primates’ behaviors and social interactions up close while playing and jumping from tree branches to another. The experience combines adventure with the chance to learn about conservation efforts and the ecological significance of Nyungwe’s primate population. The chimpanzee trek is likely to end early, which means depending on how you feel, on your way back to Kigali there will be a stopover for lunch before and a visit to the king’s palace museum.
